#.50 snipers

Funny thing about barrett .50 cals: technically, they arent "sniper rifles" they're anti-material rifles.
Anti-Material Sniper Weapon System.
anti tank sniper when?
Na na hear me out
As it but
Make the run speed fucking so god awful
That it’s realistic
Cuz real talk you don’t run wit a .50
Also make the stabilization when standing super trash even when crouched so prone and bipod be the only option
how about making it a gadget like the rpgs then XD
Na let it be a primary
It would be a delete cannon with 1 shot body potential just with insane bullet drop so you can’t 1500000m snipe
XD
just make it feel like a real .50 sniper
Heavy, obnoxious, and annoying to lug around
There is a reason a .50 haven’t been used in a shooting before XD
the m2000 weighs about the same. its not slow enough.
think the 107 beats it by like 3-4 pounds.
Make them slower
SLOWER
Snipers movement speed should be kinda shit compared to assault and medic
still think it should be based on weapon weight and ammo, instead of sneaky buffs and debuffs that aren't listed anywhere except the code.
that... isn't true. you might be able to feel it, but it won't do anything a smaller bullet passing closer wont do.
what does that achieve besides make snipers camp even more?
I mean it’s a ranged weapon and I personally love treating snipers like glorified shotguns myself but I’m mostly memeing on that regard for most snipers. Now a .50 or the laser beam that is the m2000 on the other hand could use a wee bit of knee capping
Um ya no this is inaccurate decay over range is true as it slows down but do a quick google search the shockwave can and will at certain distances have affects nothing lethal but far more than small arms
This isn’t accurate either you ain’t finna knock someone out at most it would feel like a brisk slap of wind
notice how I said you would "feel" it, and that a similar effect is caused by a smaller bullet passing closer to you?
I but like it’s not similar to smaller rounds most smaller rounds feel like a warm summer breeze at best sense they next smallest is a pretty fast drop in size
if it passes close enough it ain't.
So basically if it touches you?
no dipshit
you can feel every bullet that passes by you. the size determines when you can feel it and not just hear it.
The size and force also determines how much you feel it
Etc passing wind vs getting bitch slapped
A 20mm would do what bro said it would fuck your day up from afew meters away
yeah no.
I don't think there is anything man portable that can do what he said by passing close to you.
maybe something larger, but then you have other problems
Yea I said that
I said 20mm would do it
But nothing hand portable is 20mm
I’m confused by what you thought I meant when I said 20mm
Several 20mm weapons are hand portable.
and by hand portable I'm also talking crew served.
people are crewed right next to the barrel of said weapons, if they could actually kill it would have long ago.
Please send links
Also when I say hand I mean singular persons
send links? mother fucker use common sense.
if bullets could kill by passing close to you every bastard in the world would be using them.
the only thing I know of that kills because it was close to you is over pressure, which you get from howitzers, tank guns and the like, which also includes backblast, and even then the lethality of backblast is often overstated.
No one except that dude which I said was inaccurate mentioned killing
And I wanted links cuz I’ve never heard of a man held 20mm weapon that wasn’t on a APC or tank of some kind
I wanted to educate myself
The 25mm on the IFV doesn't so I doubt a .50 cal would
If they’re next to the barrel and not in front of it, wouldn’t they not feel the wind at all?
Since it’s still in the barrel when it passes them
Also, why are you considering hand portable as crew served? Wouldn’t crew served normally be stationary or mounted to a vehicle of some sort?
Also, a 20mm is about the size of a small water bottle, so unless someone is using an rpg esc weapon, they probably can’t shoot it with a handheld gun, and even then the recoil would be horrible
That depends on the 20mm.
There are 25mm grenades
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/25_mm_grenade
Hell, even if you mean a 20mm cannon, there are infantry portable ones
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RT-20_(rifle)
The 25 mm grenade is a type of explosive ordnance used in some modern grenade launchers. 25 mm grenades are armed after launch, after traveling a safe distance. Many types explode on impact, but others are designed to explode in mid-air after traveling a certain distance—used to clear entrenched or barricaded positions.Examples of weapons design...
The RT-20 is a Croatian bullpup anti-materiel rifle developed by Metallic in Rijeka in the mid-1990s and marketed by RH-Alan. It was developed to shoot the thermal sights on Serbian M-84 and T-72 tanks. The name itself is an acronym of the Croatian word Ručni Top 20, or "Hand Cannon 20mm". Operating with a bolt action, it houses a single 20mm ro...
Probably just, like 75 damage and 50 l-armor dmg at the cost of something like 650 velocity and being single shot
because you can carry the crew served by hand without any extra equipment, hell some AT guns fit that category too. there are also plenty of larger weapons that are meant to be used while prone that are 14.5, 15, and 20.
I feel like we are losing the point talking about crew served as there isn’t really any good way to do crew served weapons in a game like bb thus it’s pointless arguement talking about them
We are touching on a .50 rifle which is a entirely possible thing
maybe it penetrates armor and does a crap ton of damage to vehicles, but doesnt have perfect accuracy
yeah this. i dont think a one shot body gun is a good idea for this game
it could do like m200 level damage but with big drop, slow walk/aim/reload/bolt speed. also can only be used prone or mounted
and the benefit would be vehicle damage
at most should be a two shot. but relegating it to a pistol muzzle velocity is stupid., its primary purpose would be anti light/medium vehicles.
