Currently ballistic shield is OP vs newbies, and underpowered vs skilled players.
Why?
Because skilled player never try to hit ballistic shield hole and just ignore players with ballistic shield.
Instead, all newbies tried to hit player with riot shield (trying to show how cool they are), so they discover their position and reduce fire density to my teammates.
I suggest:
- make shield semi-transparent (at big distance you should face difficulties to decide who's with shield)
- when enough bullets hit the shield, it should crack (that you see visually from first person, like tarkov helmets), but automatically repair itself if hidden after a while (thermal sight logic, repair bar), or be a consumable item, like a drone, broken - thrown away
ps. i still taking fun about SuicideC4 that is present in your pockets... twice. But it works well in battlebit. You explode yourself, then healed by nearest medic, and then explode yourself second time
ps2. adding pistol (as somebody created topic before) would be great if you prefer arcade over teamwork
