Instead of puting such rule in place, just add them to shooting range
The shooting range is a client side emulation. It does not support server side functions which most gadgets and all vehicles rely on. They could put the model of a vehicle in there but it wouldn't actually function.
Then make vehicles client side. It would also allow for skins and better physics
All I see is one big W
Wouldnt you be able to host a server on your own pc
I can only assume the amount of development work it would take to restructure the game is substantial enough its not worth it for just the firing range right now. Vehicles being client side entirely would be a desycn nightmare and also require substantial rewrites
Development in general is much more complex than, just change it.
So it's better to have bad physic, no skins/customization for player expression and gratification and no vehicles in shooting range even tho people ask for it for more than a year.
Got it
Yes those are indeed the words I said. You got it
Prioritizing development time is not easy, the scope of this game is massive and while we as users want different things fixed it is up to the development team to determine impact of their work.
No you didn't said that. But you did implied that. Those things are definetly worth this amount of work. I doubt that require rewritnig whole game code
The reason its been very quiet on updates is time is being spent solving behind the scenes problems. Larger issues than we see that are a higher priority
You can absolutely doubt that. I am arguing that reality says otherwise. If it wasn't that hard, im sure it would be done. Bandages have been invisible since before early access, its not that way because its a choice but the work to fix it is just, not a priority.
A needed improvements to a whole gameplay loop not being priority just says bad things about dev's ability to prioritize
We don't talk about fixing a bug here
But about things that impact whole gameplay loop
If you do not belive oki and gang are working to improve the over all game play loop, that's a bummer
. I belive the effort is very clearly there, they love the game and they want it to thrive. The modern consumer wants things their way and they want it now. Its how we have been trained but it is not an accurate depiction of consumption
The bug fix was an example of priority but you are right it is a different topic
They do work on that for sure. They just don't fix what's needed
I am sure that charms aren't as important as terrible physics and lack of ability to train flying
"What is needed" does not have a sole definition. It is unique to the person and context. I too find charms out of place but I also understand the desire to show new cool things. It's hard to make bug updates about trouble shooting the black screen bug sound cool
Its a balance of external communication and internal work. That balance is hard to maintain and the more effort spent explaining what's going on the less effort is spent actually changing things.
That still doesn't justify nor excuses not fixing long standing impact full problems (bad vehicle physics) ,lack of vehicles in shooting range, basically industry standard in genre, lack of player expression inside vehicle game play loop (only there, also industry standars)
But like, Hey, chamrs!!
Ok 👍
