#Add Spotting to Adv. Binoculars

I have to admit, I am still the medic using the advanced binoculars, despite the availability of some clearly superior equipment (mines, C4, etc.). I like to spot out targets for my friends and randos using the voice chat ("bogey at 120 degrees") even though there is no point incentive for me to do so. Maybe make it so that adv. binoculars can spot targets, similar to the recon class? What does the community think of this? Thanks.

Fr Adv binos just need a re-work in general they're useless

I agree to this. Using binoculars takes out someone shooting for another role or at least c4ing others. I personally won't use it but it's like someone being a recon drone operator.

Imo advanced binos should have some mechanical to see thru smoke

It makes zero sense irl but it would add an actual niche for them that nothing else has

Otherwise no matter what you do they're outperformed, drones spot better and well, scopes are on guns

I'm no expert, but from what I know, their only advantage is that they don't make a glint.

I think if you could see through smoke with them there could be an actual use case for them in teanplay

Amen. I don't think they should be able to see through smoke but I do think they need a buff.

Agreed. Maybe some way you could adjust the zoom factor on them with the middle mouse wheel.

Or some sort of switch to toggle them to infared / heat sensing would be cool.

Yeah tbh its weird to be thay they don't have IR and/or variable zoom already 🤨 lots of games have those for thier binos because just not having glint isn't usually enough for most people to consider them
