this wind would affect bullet velocity over longer ranges this might be the fix some people are looking for for snipers it would make it so the skill required to snipe at 300+m ranges a little more difficult
(not sure how this would be told but maybe flags or something signaling wind direction) only on some maps like valley with long distances

snipers with suppressors should not have bullet trails (the white smoke stuff) but still have tracers) will add more stealth maybe.

just an idea argue in the replys:

an arcade way to add wind would be simply have a set speed and direction for it, and whether your bullet is in an open enough area it can effect it.

it would benefit the base game a bit, just as long as its not too involved like altitude, changing patterns and wind speed.

#

one direction, one speed per round could make it a challenge but not so much of one that its going to be annoying for more casual players

i mean most snipers in the game are unhelpful and you want it to be more difficult for them to actually help?

more difficult? not really. it would also mean everything is not just point-and-click that everyone says this game is. the first couple of rounds might be off, but after that its not going to change.

You already have bullet drop in the game. Why would you also add wind to it? If you want it for milsim sure. But its not needed in the base game
If you want to do more calculations just dont zero your gun and estimate bullet drop. Its harder but more rewarding

Would be interesting for hardcore
But casual no

even for milsim it'd just be a dumb annoyance made because some people are butthurt about the power of snipers (lol)

having sniper be my second most played currently, I think if done softly it could be fun to have, should actually help snipers in most cases, it shouldn't effect much below 500 meters anyway

I think it'd only be potentially accepted by the playerbase in mlsim mode. If it led to smoke trails being tweaked in milsim I'm all for it.
