Currently, you are required to kill any enemies within LOS to move a teamate, while more logical this is much more boreing than 1 hand weilding a pistol as you drag your screaming squamate into cover.

I actually like this idea, maybe make it so you need to equip the pistol rather than automatically equipping it. And maybe a small movement penalty for balance? because you'd be dragging with one hand.
