What i had noticed almost immediately when the new sound system was added, was that being shot at sound kind off... lacking.
In short - When bullets fly past you, you can usually hear two sounds. One is the swoosh, the second one being a crack. The first one is of course the bullet itself flying right next to your delicate head, while the second one is it breaking the sound barrier (the bullet, not the head).
As most of us must have already noticed, the second sound is completely missing from the game (unless I'm partially deaf. Not impossible, just unlikely).
Yes, if we take range into account, the gunshot itself would quite likely "obstruct" (?) it, but it sounds cool!
An example of what i mean.

This is just a video i made as a reference point for a sound mod i working on. its also just cool as hell to listen to because it sounds like 99% the real thing.
What do bullet impacts actually sound like? In Today’s video we used high quality audio capturing equipment to record the sound of bullets striking different materials. We used 22LR, 9mm, .223, 12 gauge slugs and .308. I hope you guys enjoy the free content and learn something!!
