I'm thinking of a similar progression to bf4. I think it would be more enjoyable if, for example, you wanted to unlock more assault rifles you have to get a certain amount of kills with said weapon type, or do challenges to unlock more. Same thing with lmgs, snipers etc. Maybe it is the way it is on purpose so everyone gets to try everything out in early access, but right now it sort of seems boring to just keep unlocking random weapons just by making it to a certain player level. The player level still needs to be useful somehow, but as far as unlocking a new weapon goes, it would be better if one was allowed to choose which path they want to go down and actually work towards a specific item/weapon.
Would like to hear thoughts, ideas, or any future plans!
