More sights with medium-close range magnifications

having 1x usualy means that player is limited to close range fights, having 3.5 or 4x sights means ur kinda screwed in close combat, would it not be nice to implement 1.5x / 2.5x or similar magnification sights ? so you arent overwhelmed by the magnification in close combat and can ease your eyes a bit from squinting when u need to engage in longer distance fights ?
