Make sniper scopes variable ?

having multiple scopes is cool and all that, but wouldnt it make sense if you could zoom out of scopes ? it is never practical to equip 40x, but sometimes, my ol trust worthy 8x is bit too small, makes my playstyle limited to specific ranges
