Wouldnt it be good with some kind of active anticheat?
I mean EAC hasnt been active for months..

We had Faceit for some time but it didn't work properly for some people and Oki had to disable it. I actually don't know what's up with it and will it return in the future or not (I would assume it will, but who knows how serious the problem was...)

FaceIT is going to be only an option for community servers. Official servers will use EAC so people that use linux etc can play the game.

You can play the game without the EAC client running.. so in other words, the game has no active anticheat and its been like this for months..

Not really, automatic part of anticheat is in fact working, but I think it only hands out bans for known cheats, well as it should honestly.

Everything else tho, handled through account suspension until someone checks if a player legit

No, but even ph shouldn't be able to do it, process should be locked without a driver use, and if driver is used to kill it it should kick you from the game..

But I didn't test it, so it could be the case..

it does sometimes.. RARELY... but its just hop back out and do it again, then keep playing for hours..

Im not a hacker, but I was tired of the cheaters so I had to go see whats up on the big cheat forums.. And low and behold, there is no protection except user reports..

well, I have no issues with whatever tool they pick, aslong as they actively atleast has 1 running.

Valve Anti-Cheat is free btw..
