The point: ability to:

  1. show over the sandbag/roof-corner - little bit upper than base in top stance
  2. Being little bit lower than sand bag while you moving along (slower, of course).
  3. lower than lowest while you prone (you lost ability to take aim, but your head is close to the ground, and that becomes FAST instead of default Q/E behavior, like immediate)
  4. upper than nearest rock while you prone (usually working with bipod)

    btw arma keys is worst choose, tarkov provide best alternative with stance-height-tape and mouse scroll or like stalker, where you have to hold crouch+prone to be lower than lowest or hold space while in prone to get upper than lowest, double tap of space is stand up then

the stances we already have feel like they're enough and from the looks of it, those are a bunch of button combinations to learn
a friend of mine already has disabled the lean mechanic with his key binds ๐Ÿ’€
i don't think this would make it any better and there's a reason arma is known as a button simulator lol, even outside of the milsim space

prone:

  • this topic is most of cases about head left/right in prone state to get lower than lowest (Q/E), also arma provides the idea of roll the body (double Q/E) instead of head tilt (that is unapplicable while prone)
  • upper than lowest position is about rock/border in front of you and actor stupidly try to shoot into rock instead of getting over with his gun
    crouch:
  • middle position could use double Q/E to step-left/step-right (its like "half covered" state), also its about using crouch instead of prone. Currently prone animation dont even shakes your aim, also its little buggy, so you can move run-prone-run to move like snake ๐Ÿ˜„
  • upper/lower unapplicable (arma does, but its useless)
    stand:
  • middle position its walking (also unreal tournament provides double Q/E) to jump-left/jump-right to evade enemy fire, tarkov does different - you can move sideways in full speed but your gun extremaly shakes like IRL)
  • lower than middle its running, instead of in Battlebit you get shoot in your head (its not working now because speed of moving is unhumanly high), usually you moving slower, and run has a stamina, so running should be lower than walking in full height
  • upper than middle - its aiming over the cover (that usually 2 variants - see over (slower movement speed while you standing on your toes) and somalian-style - while you dont see the enemy, that is usually the marketing thing instead of real purpose)

@blazing gyro if you press q/e while prone, actors head is slowly tilt left/right, so its useless. As idea of uniqueness of this game - could be implemented
