I am currently working on a vehicle rework proposal and one thing that I wanted to propose now rather then when I am finished, is that Tires of vehicles should be allowed to get damaged
Basically, right now Armored Vehicles are rarely ever used, even with turrets. They often fail in their duty of bringing soldiers from place to place because unlike their real counterparts, they don't have bullet proof windows. I propose that they should be able to withstand certain calibers to some degree and should leave bullet marks like Helicopter windshields do.
To counteract this buff and give a way for counterplay, the tires would be their weakpoint. And the good thing is: Battle Bit already has the perfect implementation of this. You see, Tires in this game actually have 12 or 14 edges (for Quad Bikes and Gas Tigers, see pic), at least graphically - dunno if they actually do. I propose that each edge has 20 HP, for a total of 280 / 240 HP.
This means that every time the tire takes 20 damage, it loses one edge, turning it slowly from a tetra-decagon (14 edge-shaped) to a triangle, worsening the ability to drive. Further damage destroys the tire completely. If it takes 37 damage it loses one, and the remaining edge has 3 HP left. Of course the HP per "edge" can be tweaked and such later.
You can add the ability to use the reserve tire in the back of the Gas Tigers to replace the old one (when needed). Engineers could have a bonus here of faster replace speed or ability to repair tires. Furthermore, It would allow Tire customisation later in development (I already have 8 different ones in mind), but, as I said, will send the proposal once I am done.
Anyway, weapons could then be sorted by Weapon Group (Snipers, PDW, SMGs etc.) and each gets a different multiplier against tires, so Snipers could nearly one-shot a tire with a x4 damage multiplier. Alternatively, it could be depending on calibre size (which also could change the interaction with bullet proof windshield).
