#Class based placements

hi .
can we have class based placement for engineer and support ?
as engineer can place offensive oriented placements
and support as defensive oriented placements
this idea is aside from the normal placements that classes can do , and i think that it can give more depth to the classes and better reasons for people to play them as what they can do .
because right now engineer is like assault class but with RPG, and support class is like assault but with ammo crate and slower , nothing serious is different from assault .
what do you guys think about this ?

  • Defensive Placement
    Stationary supply box : instead of calling out a supply box that is limited via players points , we can have a stationary supply box , that can be place by support class , and has limited supply by itself and is not based on points , and players can access it to refill their ammo by themselves . ( the ammo box placements needs to be refilled via support classes to be useable in long term )

note : ( support classes usually don't throw their support box at the ground for players to use them , it rarely happens , and support classes usually supply people if there is a challenge defined for it , personally speaking and what i have experienced. i think that implementing this idea can help people to supply their ammunition in a better way , than calling for .

Bunkers : support classes can make bunkers , which is a better cover than barricades and sandbags , but is vulnerable toward explosive units , except grenades .
note : ( bunkers can be for sniper nests , LMG nests ( support class can deploy their LMG & MG and can have extra cover .

Concrete walls : self explanatory

  • Offensive Placement
    Stationary AT Rockets : TOW / HJ-8 / SPG-9
    Stationary AA : ZU-23-2
    Stationary HMG's : DSHK / M2A1 / NSV

Defensive Placement :

Wooden Barricades : to close doors and windows , which is vulnerable toward explosions and all types of projectiles like the concrete barricade .

  • i am not sure about this one , but what if we could have foxholes ? what's your idea about this one ?

and medic is like assault but with heals and recon is like assault just with snipers

to be fair even in BF3 every class could use PDWs Shotguns and Carbines I believe. its really just the explosives that should change.

totally right , i was looking at squad placements and having how bf3 characters are different in how the approach situation in my mind .
weapons aside . 
personally speaking , i don't see many people playing support or engineer , - people usually go for 1- medic 2-sniper 3-assuelt 4-engineer 5- support , 
previously i talked about having a average running speed , and every character on default runs as same as other , though if a player changes the appearance, that would effect the speed , not drastically but enough to effect . people didn't like this idea , so i was thinking what idea can be talked about to make a difference about all the classes , in which they are all needed in a game to win and to have a positive gameplay , for example lets say tf2 ( tf2 is not related to BBR , i am just giving an example here , just to say how a successful class based game is operation ) ,
on tf2 we usually need all the classes or at least 7 of them to over come the enemy and they are dependent on each other , not fully but enough to see the effects of a lack if one is absence . 
BBR need to take some steps to have this in itself . 
support class was ignored by players until the 2nd previous update , which it got some attention . 
- considering class based placements , i assume the approache to these classes would be better thus they get more use in situations .```

I mean sure, but at the same time. we do not have enough classes to need that much exclusivity. supports problem right now is the fact that its easy to just reup and spawn anywhere on the map. BF had this but squads were 4-5 depedning on the game. you were also down for longer and there wasn't much you could do except reject a revive. support also had a box that while unlimited was far slower, or later a much smaller box that could be thrown into someone to fill up gadgets faster. what really stood out was the lack of explosvies every class had. Assault/medic had a GL, Engy had RPG or equivalent, Support had c4(later recon), and recon didn't really have anything beyond traps I would think until they got c4.

with class locked gadgets, that's what made the classes so distinct. not the guns or run speed. though I will say every class should be able to run at the same speed, support getting a light kit as an option would level that playing field a bit. It did help that guns didn't effect speed either.
