Easy way to find the squad your friend is in

Today I played with a friend and it was bothersome to ask him each time what squad was he in at the beginning of the match. Can we have the squads that friends are in differently colored from the other squads in the spawning menu? It doesn't need more because if you play with more friends you either are on voice chat or most likely you are part of the same squad. Something like in the screenshot would be more than enough. For example my friends appear as Orange, so the squad with my friend in it would have that small icon appear as orange.

Make a party. Not exactly the same but it gets the job done.

Yes but this is a different topic. And to respond to @gray lagoon as well, what if you have a couple of friends from a community and you launch the game randomly and you see one or two playing? You join them without making a party. Wouldn't it be useful in this case to have a very miniscule feature which lets you pick the squad they are in a bit faster? I haven't tried the party feature yet, this is the way I'm joining them, especially when I don't know for sure how long are they playing.

Does the party system really fixes this?

Its a fairly niche situation, but its hypothetically, a low effort change that gives the player more information without.. any real negative i can see

I mean if you mean join from the menu? yeah that would be great. but having the squad scoreboard setting on, you see exactly where they are if you are friends on steam on said scoreboard. marked with whatever color you use for your steam friends 3d markers.

party system does somewhat fix this but it is limited. I think there is an issue where you don't form a party beforehand the game still mixes you up like you weren't in one.

Well it is a fix yes, but you are forced with this scoreboard option if you stumble upon this specific problem.

its honestly the better scoreboard imo. you get more information out of it than the regular one.

how tho, it shows you squads and squad rankings. arguably more important in this game. just click on said squad to open to see the players in said squads stats.

Dont know if someone responded but yes this is true but if you only have a couple friends in a party but want a full squad you gotta coordinate what squad to join for a full squad

Can also just unlock your squad and let people join.
