Or.. just rework armor enitrely if we’re going to go this route, instead of punishing the one class that’s supposed to be tanky with the exo helmet specifically? (Or exo in general. More armor but slower movement as a result)
I don’t get why we have to be super realistic at the cost of the quality of gameplay, nor do I understand these “I hate this item because it countered my gameplan, nerf/remove it!” suggestions.
I hate unrealistic things like snipers not 1 shotting everything regardless of what gun and material is being shot! Now if this medic could just wrap me up with some bandages then hold their hand in front of me, I will get back to my realistic combat simulator.
If you lower the velocity but allow a OHK to the head, sure
but you can't have both a insane velocity and a OHK, that would be too good
Being slow or being fast isn't something that helps as much as it seems, it's as if being faster causes more damage and when you're exchanging shots you have to stop, this speed argument doesn't make any sense apart from the fact that there's always more than one player. now the support class already takes a lot of shots to the chest and it doesn't make any difference that it's slow apart from the amount of grenades and being able to replace them with everything tanka sniper shot to the head doesn't make any sense, it's not simple to shoot in this game
I mention velocity bc you cannot have 1000+m/s snipers all OHK to the head. As much as I love snipers, it would just be too good of a weapon at that point. The way snipers are handled in this game is they provide a extremely easy to use platform by offering a very high amount of velocity and a very low amount of bullet drop, with the tradeoff of damage being subpar at best. If you increase the skill gap by decreasing the velocity and giving more bullet drop then you have the ability to buff damage in tandem of that, just like we see with most BF games, they have low bullet speeds and high bullet drop but have phenomenal damage potential.
Snipers are supposed to be a very high risk but high reward weapon class, and this game kinda overtuned the risk part and left some of the rewards out imo
Realism: taking multiple shots in the face from a 9mm bullet and still shoot back.
Realism: .408 cheytac from an m200 to the head at 1500m will kill in 1 shot.
.50 BMG from a M2 mounted on an abrams to the head at 25m does not 1 shot
And 9mm would kill you or leave you with brain damage shot in the face once. Your point here?
Perma death would probably need to be a thing too 👍

while i do think normal helmets blocking headshots at certain angles is stupid the downsides of exo are pretty bad to still be one shotable
