After yesterday's 2 subsequent updates changing the way muffle works, we did not get enough time to form full opinions of the feature just to be removing it in the next update. While yes, I agree muffle on any shot is too much, having muffle on bleed was actually a really great implementation of the feature, and I'd like to see it remain in the game long enough to see its effect on the state of the game.

Muffle should be on close explosions, not based on health
I like this muffle for explosions
I think that would be far more annoying than when you are bleeding
Why there aren’t that many explosions in game
there are alot more than you think, every btr shot, frags, c4, tank shells, traps. its more prevalent in the large fights but it gets loud and with alot of explosions. that might be fine on smaller server sizes but 127 would be constant muffle if you are anywhere close to the action
They can just make the muffle only really up close to the explosion
then it would never go off unless you died

No like if you were in a building and c4 went of and break one of the walls next to you get muffled
If we want muffle on bleed only do it when you are about to bleed out like an indicator
