#The new audio and old audio should be an option in the settings

I agree. I can't read any distance from audio at the moment. Sounds should not be artificially amplified. It should sound how it does based on distance from the player. My mates and I have pulled out for the time being. Audio is such a big part of this game due to its low fidelity graphics wise, and it was fine. Ugh...hope something changes.
New audio feels like im playing the game with a pillow between my ear and my headphones. That is until someone starts shooting me, at which point the audio is suddenly cranked up to 100. There's no inbetween anymore. That combined with the removal of enemy pings makes it incredibly hard to tell where enemies are and what is going on before getting sniped.
I can not play the game after the audio changes. It not only sounds but feels wrong. As someone with misophonia this means that the act of being shot at, and or being near someone in this game irritates me. Merely playing the game angers me now, it is extreamly irritating and distracting.
Also please consider. You hear shooting close. Is it a friendly next to me or an enemy far? The only way to find out is to check my map, why can't I just use my ears? What is my buddy saying? I don't know the enemy is louder for some reason, why should I hear them clearer?
I actually love the audio changes, it does feel less realistic and i think it needs a lot of tweaking, but it would be a shame to trow away this because most people dont like it
Make it an option i settings, whoever wants it, its there, it really doesnt hurt anyone to have it like that
Throwing it out "because most people don't like it", is exactly what should happen. Pull back, re-assess, and move forward from there. Make it an option? Sure, but it needs to be yanked and tested internally. I have stopped playing due to it giving me a headache and being incredibly disorienting. This has never happened to me in a game prior.
It pains me to no end when people dont actualy read what i wrote, you are agreeing with me
What pains you? You said "it would be a shame to throw away because most people don't like it." This implies that it would be bad to get rid of simply due to the dislike. If this is not what you are trying to say consider a different phrasing as that is how it reads. Perhaps its how it reads on the screen? Not sure mate. But if you are saying it sucks and should go, then yea I agree.
to muh text trying to justify ignoring this "Make it an option i settings, whoever wants it, its there, it really doesnt hurt anyone to have it like that"
I didn't ignore that...."Make it an option? Sure, but it needs to be yanked and tested internally."
Having a toggle for something that is broken and obviously untested does not fix anything. It simpyl adds a toggle. I agree with a toggle, but it needs to be worked on before becoming a cemented option. Of course imo.
Mate he's saying the core of the change is good. It shouldn't be thrown away because it does what it's set out to do. The balance is the problem
T h a k s
It should be taken out and tested THEN implemented.
That is exactly what I said in my post.
I know. You're both agreeing with each other but it turned into an argument due to text not being spoken word.
I reckon you are correct. All good.
Fr, wea re literally sayin the same thing
its nto helping that im writing like shit, need to get a new keyboard lol
Completely off topic, but since I am not playing the game at the moment....I recommend a keychron blank 75% board, akko piano black switches, and your pick of cherry profile caps. Typing/gaming bliss.
fdasfdsf thanks for the reco, unfortunaly thats like a month worth of salary here hahah
will try to get a blue switch cheap asap tho uwu
I don't think I'd dislike the audio changes as much as I do if it didn't throw off my sense of where the person shooting at me is. The gunfights all pull me out of my sense of whats happening now
I have in game footage from a few weeks ago. I went back to watch it to reference the soundscape. It is incomparable. So much is missing. You do not feel like you are part of a battlefield anymore. Its like my ears are 80% blocked.
