I think this would give some extra utility to the drone, allowing it to be used for communication outside of your squad. Or even just intimidating the enemy while your IED approaches.

I'd absolutely love this. It'd be way easier to coordinate with non-squad members, warning them about another drone, or other players.

Of course people using them for recon is a bit rare, using landmines on them is still decently effective, bit I think encouraging recon to do recon is a step in the right direction

I think it'd be a hilarious feature but I can imagine it getting annoying when that one guy tries to do psychological warfare and plays the same annoying song on loop, and no matter how many times you shoot it down he keeps coming back.
I can just imagine yelling at the enemy to surrender though and seeing the shenanigans that ensue.

I disagree, cause when there's 50 people talking at once, it can sometimes be hard to tell who is saying what, and when I'm busy trying to keep an eye on the approaching enemy and keep their heads down, it really isn't that easy.
