#Quickchat option to ask the squad leader to place a Rally Point
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
(this is the current "Request order" option for anyone who doesnt know, the "Request rally point" option could be placed right next to it)
I think the option could be blocked too if the squad doesn't have enough points for a rally point to be placed
Bump!!
that would be cool
Could also make it so that this places a temporary marker on the map wherever you're aiming at the moment of clicking "Ask for Rally point", and this marker would be visible to SL, to give him an idea of where you suggest placing the rally point
buuump
this please
Good idea, worth for Oki to see
do you think squad leader should be replaced if they dont fulfill the place rally point request? (similarly to the request order behavior)
No, that should only be the non-punishable.
maybe
this feature would be really useful for more tactical squads and for invasion, and conquest in some cases too
<3 so many teams get rolled bc ppl still dont use em :(
Teams that do use them generally cant hide them well enough. The audio is, audible from a substantial range. The request doesnt hurt though
- Yep, "move to rally point" is better than "request the order"
- Vote eject commander is good too as a feature of request order for now, the time of changing leader should be logarithmic, each more vote divide time to change commander, but, still there could be option to "vote negative", that could immediate stop the vote when quorum.
- Quick option for the squad leader like "move to me" like "regroup"
- Instead of attack/defend that actually the same while you giving order to - need to be "take the point", what an icon? Dont know.
- Quick option to "stop" like "cancel last order i give, actually like regroup but without return back"
So the fight commands is:
Squad leader (UI with menu circle)
"Get the point" : (attack, there's unsafe) (today - attack)
"Group at point" : (rally point, there's safe) (today - defend)
"Regroup on Me" : (lets teamplay!, we've done here!) (icon above head that is visible by arrows on all mates screens left-right)
"Stop" : (wait, my mistake) (icon above head that is visible by arrows on all mates screens left-right)
"While moving = Observe/danger_from there" (pin marker as an order that never disappeared, also could be lots of in same time, like pin markers)
Soldiers
"Yes" (acknowledge, could be same as vote negative eject commander, or in UI circle) (F1)
"No" (disagreee, vote eject commander positive) (F2)
"Follow" (local battle: working in group, am lead) (F3)
"Help" (local battle: working in group, you lead) (key Z or F3 hold)
"Stop" (local battle: careful = mine, wait for me) (F4)
"Request order" (what i should do?) (key H or F4 hold)
"Look there" (Pin marker) (key C or Q)
Also i dont imagine but two points that i never see in any game.
- Commander stance in UI (IRL you repeat the stance of forward teammate, not applicable in BB cus of no silent mode)
- Some ui help to keep visual to teammates (extra required)
- guys, that all the times recommend using audio, instead of improving UI, forget their families (already) and should get golden toilet as a gift for new year.
- also the case is... playing on a job place while background task on PC is running
I dont know what that means 👍
Auto replacing a bad or ineffective squad leader probably isnt the most fun thing for the player. The vote thing maybe, but still seems like overkill to fix the issue. I think something explaining squad leaders a little better with a UI icon for SL showing they still havent set beacon would help people. I'm pretty sure the big problem right now is most people just forget about it combined with how many dont know about it.
that means you should keep the silence in the mind of your family giving them the time for relax after their jobs
Thanks, you too
that feature worked good in Natural Selection game. The commander there is only unit who can "drop building to build it" anywhere he wants (strategy style) and requires to build it manually by soldiers. So "bad commander" means "immediate lose". So there is "eject commander vote", that takes like 30 seconds, but each additional vote divide the time logarithmic, so 3-4 same time eject votes could eject commander immediately. But, one vote eject is unable to eject commander, once timer reaches - quorum calculates too, avoiding misclick and "bad soldiers" that wants to get commander position without expected experience
im not sure what this means, can you elaborate?
i remember bf2 and bf2142 had this thing where you could mutiny against the commander which was essentially a vote
im not sure that is necessary for this feature though, a simple request that will pop up in squad leader's vision is enough imo
Maybe disable this option if there is a rally point already placed to prevent people from being a nuisance by spamming it.
That's a good idea too
natural selection is 1st-person shooter but 1 player for human faction is a commander that play RTS-strategy. initially he gets building (that present from game start) as a commander and can observe battlefield from above. he drops buildings, buying upgrades, buy weapons and drop it near building named armory, he's playing starcraft actually. Another players build it like we see in Battlebit too
sometimes noob get the console and game freezes. needed to eject it from console to change commander
player has a menu / also has well bound hotkeys in settings for all menu actions
there is option "eject commander" that starts a vote for 30 seconds. after 30 seconds calculates quorum
but if more players votes - the time reduces by logarithmic, so if total team is 10, if 4 guys votes - commander will eject in 3-5 seconds. and he cannot get the console for current game
but happens that few players is agreed with orders and few players disagree. so if votes becomes not like yes-yes-yes-yes, but yes-no-yes-no - the time for calculate quorum is still 30 seconds because each negative vote restore timer that is reduced by previous one. actually "vote NO" is not +1, its like "give more time for decide others". also vote shows on screen not as menu, but as a tooltip. if you want to vote yes - you select "eject commander from menu" - and there's two buttons - yes-no, instead of maybe CS1.6 amxmod, where menu shows on screen and blocks weapon selection because rebound 1/2/3/4 keys
its possible because there s only two options yes and no. in mapvote is unapplicable because lots of variants
This feels a bit too off topic ngl
.
oho
oh hi
bump
I dont think you need to bump it given that oki wrote in here, likely will be added
