I'd also add to make hitting 'prone' while sprinting going straight into prone instead of just cancelling sprint on the first press.

it's a gateway into severe gameplay changes

if you are sprinting and you press the fire button you will switch from a sprint into a walk

if you think the skill gap is big between people who are good at movement, now?
i never complained about skillgaps
in the hands of players who are good at movement, that would be a giant bonus

sprinting has cons and pros
you're getting rid of the con
the con should be louder footsteps
footsteps are loud enough now if you actually pay attention to them
it's a bad suggestion

this is a very abusable mechanic if it was added
i do not see how stopping from a sprint to a walk is a bad mechanic
you can already do this with 1 extra button press
it's a punishment for sprinting 100% of the time
it's a balancing mechanic for sprint
this is like the only game i have ever seen have this limitation
and you aren't even commenting on what happens after the hipfire
does it stay the same?
then you have to press the sprint key again

that 'stop' is the reason it's balanced well now
what stop
most guns are very effective hipfiring out to like 30-40m
the 'stop' in motion it takes to hip fire out of sprint
i just avoid it by tapping zoom, when i can actually plan my hipfire engagements
jesus, i'm not saying stop in movement literally....it's a stop of fluidity
it's an extra step in move > target > attack
theres also the animation from sprinting to holding your gun forward
if you have a high mobility play style
so thats still a negative
yeah you just don't like the idea of bullets leaving your weapon instead of the center of your screen

its not going anywhere
the 'holding your gun forward' part you just mentioned
that's part of how weapons are interacted with by player models in this game
