People love leaderboards and grinding to be the best. Someone out there will play the game non stop to be #1 in deagle kills but currently no one will or knows who is the closest. There are already kills being tracked on weapons/vehicles, I imagine this data would not be impossible to transfer to a leaderboard.
You could click your stats on a weapon/vehicle/equipment on your star page to find a global leaderboard for each.
