Zamn, going 2HP changed the map AND the gun π
No you see, at 75 HP you can see in the upper right hand corner a blood spot, and at 50 HP it has the same as well as one just above the compass.
Nah 75Hp that's just the cloud
no no, you see that is a dynamic blood spot that only appears sometimes
its a cloud.
much needed
Imo they should add a way to check your health and/or better visuals - I've mentioned baking checking health into mag check (https://discord.com/channels/303681520202285057/1183095507602653305) but I think the blood 'vignette' could use some work too for sure!
A seperate 'wound check' would be pretty nice too, but I digress
this, but also combined with an armor check (i still have to ask allies if my helmet is still intact)
At that point I would rather have a hp bar
you arn't getting an HP bar. if you don't want it you can just continue as you are, but giving mag check a better reason to exist would be far better
imo at 50hp we should see half the blood we can see at 25hp and the problem would be solved
we do
you can see a couple patches if you look real hard
the two darker spots at the 25% or barely becoming visible at 50, meaning its just an opacity change as we get lower in HP
so uh, we need more than that
more like 1% than half tho
its likely set to 50% opacity, and then at 25 Hp it goes up to 75%.
might work well enough in a test area, not so much on a more dynamic area we have in actual maps
actually might be by thirds and not 25s since it doesn't need to be there for 100% HP.

Bumpy
i agre
I think this was something the muffling was supposed to solve, but there are already tried and tested ways to do it better than that dogshit muffling we have
This is especially horrible for me because I'm colorblind, I usually cannot tell the red spots from the grass and tress
oh damn
i think thats a good suggestion, after all accesibillity comes first
They wont add a health bar though...
I would prefer actual numbers, but also something like this would be nice, same with armor and helmet.
Oki doesn't need to add a heath bar, just add more blood at 75 and 50 hp
I often think I am full health but it turns out that I was 60-50 hp
Idk what his plan is
Is he going full arcade with hp bar and leaving all the Milsim shit in hardcore mode ?
- until respawn works on teammates - its still arcade (you cant control count of enemies in battlezone from certain sides and count time they arrive in new wave)
- until ideas of zeroing denied by complexity - its still arcade (players dont want to read and discuss in favor of trololo)
- until personal medpacks makes you fully prepared for battle - its still arcade (you can play personal game and dont even need teamplay)
- until constant run is allowed instead of stamina bar - its still arcade (you cant run out being injured, because enemy has same speed and if he wants - he follows, he never gets weary)
personally agree armor/helmet marker in UI.
healthbar hard to say, it is good to remember to you that you could heal yourself one additional time, and bad for reality purposes, but reality stuff - its additional players category, so new gamemode/servermode
yeah none of that makes any sense lol
Yeah thats a solid change.
bumpy
Actually, you cant forbid anything that works, otherwise you hated =/
Bumping is about how things works. Devs overwatch ideas with maximum green checkboxes, and if you post your suggestion in non-prime time you have to bump it, just because of no dev comments inside and no event like 'community-night' but for stream process of dev read that topics
yes, there's tonns of reading, but everybody wants to know they read, and ideal scenario - left opinion
And, by marketing reason - we're already clients. So they could ignore us because we wont pay more π

most milsims have a "healthbar" visually on your body, or a function to check how hurt you are, some have it quantified, some have it Health/Hurt/Injured/Critical or some variation of that.
The thing I don't get is that Oki said there won't be any hp bar in future, only real indicator is the blood screen which only appears after losing 40/50 hp
If you remove the hp bar at least make a good alternative that actually tells me how low I am
he doesn't want an HP bar like BF, but nearly every simulator out there has some way to see how healthy you are, there needs to be some way to do so.
I've suggested adding health/armor checks, kind of like ammo checks, where it would show health & armor on-screen while locking you into a short animation. either merging that + ammo check together (because next to nobody uses ammo checks when reloading takes the same, if not less, time to do) or making it an independent action would be a good compromise since it isn't just constantly displaying your health
Idea: Symbols/shapes/text/whatever that show what percentile your health is in. Rough example:
"Healthy": 100-91
"Hurt": 90-61
"Badly Wounded" 60-31
"Critical" 30-0

There is no better visual indicator of damage than an icon/image of a person with individual hitboxes.
It also prepared for any implementation of difficult/hard medicine.
Also, taking damage from hitboxes could be indicated by the hitbox flashing red. (btw its not alert player about he's seriosly damaged, so not about the topic directly)
A common pitfall in all games is trying to display an image of the warrior facing directly towards the player. Most of the time you see that the left leg/arm is injured but you forget that it is the right arm.
Since the icon of a person with their back to the player seems awkward (the story is from the theater, the actor should be facing the audience), the best option is the left-facing combat stance, located on the right side of the screen.
Then the left leg and left arm are positioned βto the left of the right side of the body,β and it becomes comfortable to see the damage received, the wounded parts, and so on.
it's supposed to be ambiguous, cause devs said no to health bars and the discord community is now preaching it
perhaps change it to "healthy" at 100 and "scratched" at 99-91
meh, not an idea im super invested in
Hp bar with extra steps
1 blood spot per 10 hp missing
No blood splatters?
