Keep old Basra, rename new map

The old Basra was a good map, the new map differs so much from the old Basra it should have its own name.
More maps the better, let the players decide what to play with the map vote.

Because he Remade it.. they keep some of the aspects of the old one and re-do it.. he's not remastering them.

Peoples opinions differ, I prefer the old map. The new map does not resemble the old Basra and thus should have a new name.
In the old map you could decide how to play I often switched classes midgame:
Long range, play sniper on the hills.
Short range, take the broken ship in the middle or the other objective buildings.
Flanking, take a vehicle (boat) and get those sniper campers from behind

I agree. Old basra was such a vibe. Especially when ppl tried to attack the lighthouse or if you're in the underground.

The two maps are so incredibly diffrent that they should be seperate, seperately named and seperately placed in the map rotation

It was never stated that the maps wouldn't change beyond recognition; there are multiple statements likely stating maps will change and be added.

Welcome to Early Access, where you will remember older versions of the maps listed an maybe one day you'll see them on a community server.

Yes it’s expected that things will change. However, another part of early access is to let the community test out and provide feedback on these changes. If most people say they like the old version and want to be able to play it again, then the devs should add it back. That keeps the player base happy which keeps the game alive.

Personally, I think the new map is great - but I also believe the older version was a solid map. In a perfect world both Basra and Old_Basra are in the map rotation

In a reasonable world they've archived old_basra and intend to let community servers use it, like with Old_OilDunes.
