I know, I know its a weird title, but hear me out. randomly today whilst looking for something on youtube to watch on my feed. I got a war video from Ukraine. And it sparked some ideas I have for the game, Maps, Vehicles, Weapons, And possible new features.
Starting off I want to say that A lot of what Im going to say i am unsure if the devs are able to implement any of what I am going to suggest.
For starters I want to Come back to a Idea I had for Map making, Diving more into this idea. I think if this were implemented with how community servers are set up I feel like if someone who runs a community server was able to make there own map, Choose which maps are able to be played (freely) Meaning the server has played a 3 rounds and wants to switch up. they can choose different maps and gamemodes for this "Rotation" of maps/rounds). With this there would still be limiters like map size (minimum and maximum) and objective placements, spawn zone placements. (Like someone makes a map just to farm the other team for exp, kills, Etc.) With this being said the community server owner would be able to decide the play style of the Server itself. With some maps maybe more oriented around more roleplay (Large scale maps, Where 254 player servers would stretch off many front lines of which people would actually need to communicate (maps not big enough where there is to big scaling, Where 254 players cannot handle/cover the size of the map. Leaving open spots on the map where areas can't be defended.) With bigger maps, Also means more vehicles, helis, maybe jets. to which people can run bombing campaigns or almost act as a fire mission or a A-10 Warthog. With this there would ofc have to be more balancing that regard to the more slow paced game style. (being so right now gameplay is much more fast pace with most games people just looking for large amounts of players and than bombing them with c4 to push ahead)
Your probably wondering Why The title is "So, I've been watching War videos", As weird as it is my youtube feed just for some reason suggested me ukraine videos. So out of curiousity I went and looked into it and watched the video. It gave me some insight onto what I would like to be seen implemented with this game. From in the video

For example Artillery was a main factor, with most of them not being able to or not wanting to push into incoming rounds. Now game wise people would just continusly rush the enemy until they got the artillery out of the way. But Something no other game has done well That I think is Artillery. having these massive artillery rounds in play (with there weight ofc per round just for a 105 mm would be 36 Ibs, for one round. Factor that to player movement and your a snail.) But that doesnt mean that the person is pushing enemy lines being a snail (sure you have guys with machine guns running in, but the standard load for a machine gunner is 1000 rounds. all together weighing 70 pounds. At that point your running like a snail as well) but if Artillery were to be implemented having not just a standard mortar that can be planted at any front and be equiped by the Engineer class. Just this one mortar could change the tide of battle within seconds of rounds coming down. (I'm mostly looking at Battlefield 3) but to implement a much bigger version of the mortar, Maybe the M198 Howitzer ablle to fling rounds from 75 mm, 105 mm, to 155 mm. Now that Would be an insane sight to see. Ofc there would be limitations to the Howitzer with maybe one or two only able to be employed, With a cooldown like the vehicles so they aren't spammed out. With a low amount of ammunition, so that they rely more on the people than just itself. Maybe this could be looked into.
The Reason I bring up Map Making so much is I believe if people were able to make there own maps it would make the Replayability a lot better, With people making there own maps and people playing them and making a community..
