I just try not to give the enemy more information than needed. It's situational though and not always cut and dry. A lot of team member's just don't respond so it's like talking to a wall. You can even be specific and call out directly to a player "hey ScubaSteve, enemy on the roof SW adjacent to my body, watch out" and they just tunnel vision at the window they're at. Then again, I dunno what is going on in their head and they could be choosing to ignore, have comms off like you said, or be legitimately deaf.
As for the target finder, it wasn't as big of a deal when it was released because spotting/pinging was borked when it released. Now under the new spotting system it just makes it dorito hunter remastered lol. Even the most awareness inept players can sorta figure out "moving red triangle, me shoot there maybe get kill". A general location spot isn't a bad thing but having live tracking on you allows for a player to know where you are going so they can engage in more real time. There is less guesswork. You can sorta wait it out but in action out in the open it's often just a cheese death sentence.
