Attachments exclusive to a particular weapon, or versions of existing accessories exclusive to a particular weapon, would enhance the appearance and feel of certain weapons and may provide useful enhancements.

Weapon-specific attachments already exist in-game; the L86A1 iron sights are visually distinct from the standard set, the F2000 scope is a weapon specific scope and is the only 1.6x optic available, and the quick/extended/drum magazine options when available are unique to every weapon. Other less-specific attachments include the PK-AS, OKP-7, and 1P78 exclusive to Russian/Soviet firearms, and the Osprey 9 for the Vector as an option for primary weapons.

Examples of weapon-specific attachments to implement are custom bipod models for the L86A1, MG36, and M249 to better match their IRL counterparts, the option for the classic Swarovski scope with “donut of death” reticle for the AUG A3, and the SUSAT scope for the L86A1.

Feel free to propose other weapon-specific attachments below.

always nice to have things that are made for the weapon they are attached too, made to fit looks alot better than general is most cases

Would be cool to see stuff like some of the suppressor conversion kits ingame, I know the AUG A1 or A2 aren't in the game, but they have built in suppressors that looks really nice. Shit like that would be cool.

i agree with this, kinda like how the osprey 9 is intended for weapons of the 9mm caliber, lets add it to the mp5 and pp19

it's just a barrel swap

Definitely agree. Too many attachments are to general and don't make sense for the weapons they're on.

I hope that's the plan eventually, would love to have built in attachments that we can use, l86a1 Built in bipod for example, as well.

The whole point of that bridge girder under the barrel of the L86A1 was specifically for the bipod. Namely, so it can pass accuracy trials through a combination of stiffening the barrel and whatever bullshit the statistics majors at the MoD could do to bring the figures up to acceptability.
