I often play on transport vehicles, because I love feeling like I'm being useful to my team. But it's hard to keep an eye out for players that want to get on your heli or Humvee.
And when I'm playing as infantry, I often see players drive off on Humvees/APCs with just them inside. Or when you're in the middle of nowhere and a helicopter flies above you, but doesnt see you or simply can't bother to pick you up.
I'm suggesting to add a new feature: Request Pickup.

  • When looking at a friendly transport vehicle, you can ping them to send them a notification that someone wants to board their vehicle too.
  • It should work like medic's "Coming to help" button. %playername% requests pickup and then points at the current position of that said player.
  • When a player that requested a pickup gets in the vehicle, the driver should get bonus points for picking up a player.
    This feature will benefit both infantry and transport vehicle players. It will be easier for players to make drivers pay attention to them (instead of shooting their entire magazine at the vehicle just to be noticed) and it will reward vehicle players with bonus points.

This, I also miss the removal of the "coming to help" ping, you could ping a downed person and tell them you were on your way to them to revive, or as a medic heal.

I didn't even realize they removed it, but makes sense with the ping rework 😢
I've been kinda mixed on them - Half of the time when I tried to ping enemies it would ping "coming to help" on allies instead, which was kinda irritating at times.

Maybe add a way to call for medics (on cooldown) in the ping menu when below max or downed instead? Then you can ping those players to 'respond', so the issue of pinging people who don't even want healing doesn't happen. Could even do similar with transport, pinging 'request transport' showing a transparent waypoint to transport pilots/drivers

maybe the coming to help ping for healing be on the wheel(or a keybind) that we have to delebritly press to trigger, while the revive and the need a ride one can be automatic?

I like that idea as well, yeee, as long as you can avoid unintentionally pinging it like crazy
