There is a function for spinning miniguns, but it is associated with free vision and you cannot use spinning miniguns. I just can't imagine in what situation you should use these functions together

I don’t know what the ka60/bh shooters think about this, but it seems to me that the button for zooming in and spinning up miniguns should also be separated for them

Holding alt should activate free view. I don’t know if it works while on a gun, but it can be used pretty much anytime outside of f2 seats in helicopters.

Free view is bound to alt for me. So I am able to look around without spinning it up.

Couldn’t you just hold right click and alt to look around while spun up

The whole point of spinning up the mini gun is to prep it for fire while looking for an enemy which can be done while zoomed slightly in.

as a workaround for spinup - you can spin them up by spaming left mouse istead of holding

yeah - the true problem with looking around in heli is that its bound to mouse -the same thing you use to pilot. so its truly only viable for short peaks. idk what a good solution would look like - any ideas?

There is no problem with free viewing. The main problem is that you cannot control the helicopter while spinning the miniguns due to the fact that this also activates free vision, which firstly blocks control of the helicopter and secondly does not allow you to aim since the mouse is currently controlling free vision

yup - thats what im talking about with free vison - you cant look around and pilot at the same time because they are both boud to mouse movement

but to be honest in current state its just a minor inconvinience since you can spam lmb - i even like the sound of the guns reving up 😉

I would suggest to remove the zoom in (free view) when in the gunner position. Just make right click spin up the gun.

But not to remove, but to separate, the zoom option should simply be on another button, for example the mouse wheel

Are you talking about the "alt" key?If so, then it doesn't work in helicopters
