Personally, I think the Recon class could use some extra anti-materiel capability to harass vehicles like tanks and BTRs, ideal for supporting engineers or maybe finish off a vehicle nearly exploding.

For balancing, I think AM rifles would be an obvious one shot to a human, and then chip damage on tanks, around 15 on a LAV, then 18-20 in a transport...

First suggested option: Barrett XM109 (25x59 mm) - could be balanced to fire slow and limited to 5 rounds (7 round extended).

Second suggested: McMillan Tac 50 (50 BMG) - bolt action, 5 round 50 Cal rifle

an obvious one shot to a human
as if sniping wasnt easy enough

Introduce it as a gadget for snipers with a limit to 10 rounds and I think it would be decent. Resupplying ammo should cost around the cost of a tandem per 5 shots.

#

It shouldn’t oneshot humans unless it’s a headshot. Basically same damage as m200 but can one shot any helmet.

#

Also, it should have the ability to take down the tail rotor of a helicopter.

#

I don’t know if it should have the same weak points (I.e. back of apc) on vehicles as rockets but it could make sense.

balancing it would be tough, plus oneshots icky.
I do like the idea of anti vehicle sniping though... Those single-shot anti-tank rifles come to mind

Not only should it one shot someone, they should disintegrate, unrevivable.

As I said it should do the same damage to a human as m200 but it should be able to oneshot headshot any helmet.

Possibly make it slower to cycle the bolt, only give it a single mag, and force you to go prone and deploy a bipod first?
