#Sandbag/Structure quality of life

Whenever I'm 20/20 capped on sandbag, instead of preventing me to place more, just despawn the first sandbag I placed and allow me to place a new one. Similar to how placing more claymores than claymore cap would do.
Would help a lot in modes like Invasion. I'm a big Support enjoyer. I make lots of houses.

Thoughts on this would be nice as I see how someone currently using my previous sandbag while it despawns in front of them could be frustrating.

Alternatively at least letting us have a filter on the map to show where our current builds are would be nice as those just get lost over the course of a match.

I think in general, the way structures are tied to players/squads can have some wonky consequences - Players using an enemy's cover is perfectly viable for example

I could see it working such that it would take from the most irrelevant builds first- i.e. ones with no players in a set distance around them, and if no such option is available, it would unbuild the earliest placed by a stage and if it doesn't get repaired by the amount of a structures cool down, then it would full despawn and allow you to place a fresh build after

Yeah i see how that's also a problem with them also being tied to the squad

I could also see squads "fighting" over structures if they're not coordinating with their members. I do agree it's an issue, but It's definitely one of those that works as-is, and needs a proper rework or something

Just in general imo, uninhabited structures should decay naturally

#

maybe decay occurs to structures which are

  1. outside of objectives
  2. have had no players or rally beacons within [X] meters of them for [Y] seconds
  3. older than [Z] seconds old

I'm liking it, nice thoughts that would just bring nice QoL to long term builders

#

I hate having to potentially swap squads after building half the Empire State Building just because other people aren't wanting to help finish it

#

The idea of natural decay in most modes though would hurt the cyclical nature as there are definitely POIs that can go for long stretches without people near them as the offensive isn't there yet

#

But on like Frontline, Rush, and Invasion that sort of thing would be a huge benefit

#

If possible I would like to see the max cap bumped up from 20 to something higher

Decay is a good idea still

#

If decay is implemented, a simple progressive texture would be a nice way to alert players the structure might go poof
