I think SMGs should always go fast. Idk, I like being fast. I don't think there's any problems with SMGs being a certain playstyle. Buff the other ways to play to bring them up to snuff, don't simply nerf a fun, valid way to play the game.

medic is already at it's lowest point of strength in the game probably, SMG nerf would just make it straight up dogshit, meanwhile getting 2 shot from M110 without counterplay or instantly killed by RPK on a support with 1 million armor

TTK doesnt mean everything but if you've got an smg you have a pretty wide window to out-kill a gun slower than the L86!

I really don't care about weapon balance. There will always be a meta for every class. Ttk varies on ranges aswell. I dont hate on the idea of l86 being buffed compared to every other supp gun. It is a laser but it should have bigger mag size. I was just curious.
