I wanted to make a post to see your ideas about how to encourage more teamwork in this game, see what ideas, nerfs, buffs, new mechanics you can add to encourage more teamwork gameplay, which as we know in this game. game we have to find a way to encourage it so that it is more present and there is better gameplay for everyone
#Ideas for teamwork

Like community encouragements? Or in game mechanics?
Any type of idea, game mechanics, community, buffs, nerfs, put your ideas
Have you tried a community server? Joined a discord, we can like adjust the servers to all this..
how do you adjust it?
Through the API
Hardcore is pretty cool, have you tried one?
Of course you can do these things, but even so teamwork is not so visible in this game, that's why I made this post, so you can give your ideas on how we can improve this.
Nope. I'll check later 👀
I can go on a tangent a mile long about how you can't force team-play especially when the casual game is focus on the majority of players being solo, and lacking situational awareness.
Hence why there's supposedly a Milsim mode/version coming
.
And that is why ideas are made little by little, teamwork is encouraged, such as new mechanics, buffs, nerfs, etc... the main post literally explains it brother
And it is not necessary to be a "Misilm" to have teamwork brother
You can't froce teamplay, but you can encourage it/reward it 👀
Literally THIS
the only way to encourage teamwork is to get a reward that isnt exp after winning
I would say a good Battlefield 1 type scoreboard where it shows you the best pilot, greatest flag capturer, most revives, etc. (example photo)
and what reward? quick seconds of fame?
And that is why I made this post, so that we could give ideas together with the entire community to know what we can propose together.
yeah i know but like i said we need rewards beside exp bonus for the winning team to encourage some type of teamwork or atleast TRY to encourage
You guys will figure it out eventually, I believe in you.
lol
And that's why brother, what kind of rewards other than XP?
idk some currency you can exchange for skins that are limited(not the streamer skins but new kind of skins) for that lets say month or season?
Something like Battlefield Battlepacks? Well, if it sounds like a good idea, the truth is.
encourage players to play more as a team, and at the same time with a new skin
yeah whatever that is. anything that rewards winning team and even losing team gets like a little amount just for trying
Indeed it sounds good, and of course you earn more or less this type of currency depending on two variables: whether the game is won or lost and how much you contribute to the team (that is, by reviving, giving ammunition, spotting enemies, etc.)
- more exp for giving ammo to team mates and squad members
- medic health pack aoe healing, more exp also for randoms and squad members
- quicker ressing or some buff for ressing squad members as medic
- landmine-claymore spotting and bonus exp when a squad members blows it up
- spawn beacon avaliable pop up when you can deploy it, make it a bit smaller and get bonus squad exp when killing, healing, giving ammo and repairing it in a 15m radio
- bonus exp for squad participación in objetive captures-defenses
- moving corpses from enemy line of sight and then ressing
- dmg blocked exp for barricades and bonus of it for support players
so just more exp
Atm yes
You'd be surprise how, "more exp" can solve some problems 💀
Special rewards can be added ofc
i mean they did give out bonus exp for winning team no? team work still rarely in play
Yes but winning in pubs depends in a lot of factors, so giving more exp there doesnt solve anything
Like what we were talking about with our friend @wintry beacon about the idea of skins, which is a good idea to encourage teamwork.
Skins, camos
you can win and get exp bonus without like actual teamwork of like communication like "hey lets go to point a while other team are getting point b"
Like a camo “effective medic”
- move 300 ally’s corpses from enemy line of sight, before 10 seconds of being killed, and then ress them
I find that the main idea is that gradually, through rewards and other things, players are encouraged to play as a team, so, even if everything is unlocked, they play "automatically" as a team and this also works for new players, seeing that everything you play as a team, let them learn the same
im not saying theres no people trying to do coms just to win im saying its very rare unless a whole like clan wants too which is still rare
Playing as a team has already changed a lot in this game... that's why you have to start slowly encouraging playing as a team, so that you can "automatically" play this way.
As he said @hoary oak , don't force it, but encourage it and compensate it
better than before to me
The radial wheel is honestly a good start. Allow more squad info sharing. Squad objectives give a lot of XP. Killing an enemy on a squad objective also gives 800XP more. People need to start comming more and you'll be surprised how many people will start talking. In other games that are tactical, I used to mic check everyone and kick anyone who didn't have one. I told them that they don't have to be chatty but need to be able to communicate if needed
exact! taking advantage of the microphone issue as well and the command wheel
Another idea, stolen from Hell Let Loose is the ability to commend a player after the game. A commendation gives that player +10% XP, limit 5 commendations. And each person can only give out one commendation
And if I have also seen this mechanic in Hell Let Loose, it is also a good idea to incorporate it
Having persistent squads between maps would help if you found yourself with a good squad. Now you'll just be randomly assigned and have a new group of randoms. Sure you can make a new squad and try to get the band back together or party up, but still
I would say, being honest, to add dispersion and suppression, the truth is, some mechanics that would be quite useful to the other to work as a team.
So in regards to this and HLL, the SL and medic negate some of the suppression, encouraging squads to move together and use their own MG to suppress. May be overengineering BBR but it's still worth noting. In War of Rights they use the "Formation" to determine spawn times and there is suppression in that game too
Add that you cannot commend people that are in your friendlist
This way, it's genuine commend or random :p
I think that is why HLL limited it to 5 commends. Could even just make it one and that way a friend commend isn't so impactful. Usually everyone gets one anyway because everyone wants the bonus XP so you all commend a different person. But I see your point, yes
Well that's it! And don't worry, not so much engineering is being incorporated, yes, if the mechanics of the "air strafe" are there, I don't think it will be that difficult to learn about suppression in this game.
The air strafing is on par with CSGO surfing lol
Yup, the issue is that because of these game mechanics, people no longer seek to play as a team as they did at the beginning, so little by little we have to look for incentives to play as a team, otherwise, why do the developers continue to introduce mechanics to be played as a team like the order wheel?
I think it's tricky because the game doesn't pretend to be COD, but it also doesn't pretend to be HLL or Squad. It's a good mix of casual and tactical play and they are trying to please both groups. I like the blend but would also like teamwork OCCASIONALLY
And of course it's fine, but there are many people who want the game to remain the same, look for example now, every time you tried to give an idea about a mechanic or something new that encourages teamwork they told you that it affected casuals, but now that they are modifying the movement system through the "Air Strafe" they accuse of "Skill Issue" and the truth is that it left a good part of the community as crybabies who made excuses to the "casuals" so that they would not change their game mechanics
If only talking about the issue of the movement didn't show how double-faced and whiny part of the community is to accept changes that are good for the game, then I don't know.
Milsim mode should incorporate everything needed for actual teamwork, hopefully. The game is just too fast-paced to have any kind of teamwork, and only some very extreme changes will have any impact on that
