#Future weapon skin system improvement (Spore paint system)

I appreciate the new skin system, and while some legacy options would be nice, this new system offers players a more extensive customization for their weapons, although not everyone is fond of it. To support those players who prefer legacy options, adding a "legacy skin" section (as previously suggested) would be excellent. This would maintain both models and increase individual expression. However, my concern is whether it's viable at the moment or in the near future.

Returning to the suggestion, I'm not sure if you're familiar with the game SPORE. If you are, you might see where I'm heading, but if not, let me explain.

In SPORE, there were creators for creatures, vehicles, and buildings. Within these, you could create said things using premade parts provided by the game. Notably, in the vehicle and building creators, you could paint each individual part or multiple sections with premade patterns.

For instance:

Imagine a significant overhaul of the camo system where the actual patterns that you can unlock could be used to paint each part of the gun according to your preferences, similar to the customization in the paint section of SPORE creators. Of course, this suggestion is aimed at the mid-to-far future, as the game currently faces other pressing issues like one-frame kills, server instability, and the need for further attachment balancing. However, I'm sharing this to provide developers with an idea for expanding player customization in the future. Let me know what you think!
