TL;DR: Add driver controllable visual hints on vehicles, for example text overlays with some geometry (only visible to teammates, of course) showing "hop on!", "going to A", etc.
Motivation: Only when playing with my friends can a driver wait for other people to hop on, because we have discord voice connected. When playing alone for example flying transport helicopters, I need to yell in VOIP or risk my life to RPGs and hover to signal people I can take them away. And no one in game really uses APC to transport people, because a 1/8 APC in the midst of a battlefield means that it is shooting, instead of any intention to take people away.
And I believe transports can really be transports if the visual signals I mentioned are added.
