The current glint decoy is completly out-dated, this gadget feels like a " One time trick ", since as soon as players recognize its patern, it becomes useless.

I thought about a rework for it : Make the decoy do a Sniper Shot sound type of decoy.

It would completly change how Recon COULD be played, while also having a TRUE utility.
Having that decoy nearby you could draw attention to that one flanker trying to get you, so it adds one small layer of protection for the Recon.

Or you could even use that sound decoy for a more agressive Recon playstyle with DMRs / Battle Rifles, from placing the decoy and ambush people with it.

What do you guys think about it ?

Also please if you share your opinion, keep it civilized BBRpeek

Or you could also just place them randomly and just scare people, psychological warfare etc...

I feel like there are way more utility and possibility with a sound decoy than just a glint gadget

Where it stand ya you're right the current glint is a matter of Glint appears "Somethings there" turns camera to go to aim in Glint disappears "Oh its a stupid gadget" all in 1 cycle of it going off. The timing of it's glint is engraved in my head

Adding a decoy feature to it seems like it has a lot of uses, especially if its mimicking the sniper you have and whatever attachments change the sound profile of it. Could get annoying if people are all placing these things beside each other when they're sniping but that's up to debate. The timing of these shots would have to be coded as random for it to be effective. IE. could grab the guns RPM of the players current weapon and have that be the the fastest its allowed to go off to whatever time the devs feel fit. Might also need to have it on a timer before it ultimately dies (runs out of charge lol), cause there are sniper players remain in the same place all game and only die a few times, which would be a massive up time for these things.

Could go a different direction and just buff the current ones to do random intervals of glint sizes/duration to seem more realistic.
