come on man why the fal compete with the g3! velocity is so much more on the g3, 900 vs 600 or even 750 with the scar-h and ak15? i say, 50 extra velocity for all the battle rifles that aren't the g3!! who's with me!!

I will state the fal does have the fastest TTK in the game currently, but I could understand it getting some extra velocity possibly

I think it should have everything to do with what cartridge the rifle fires and little to do with what class of weapon it is.

the cartridge's generally tell you the class. except for Sniper rifles, LSW/SAW, LMG, MMG/GPMG, HMG classes, which can have many different sizes based on job, even then smaller cartridge's will give you the size of the MG variant usually. the battlerifle and marksman rifle class are very similar with full size cartridges, but different ballistics and jobs. like an m-14 vs a Mk-14.
