I think the Building menu should be seperated from callouts. So the Player Interaction Menu and the building menu should be two different things. The Player Interaction Menu can stay on Holding Mousewheel. (or having the option to be rebinded to whatever with an option to "Hold time" how long you need to have that button pressed to make it show up). And a new Hotkey option for the building menu.

#

If that decision was made to prevent that people are building cover in a pinch to safe one selves (mainly from snipers or DMRs), then he should re-add the old menu and have the new solely for Orders, Communications and Flag Orders

#

So it should be one of two options:

  1. Every fortification should be in one menu which would decrease the time to build even more than previously and everything else is in the new menu (Supply Box, Airstrikes? (maybe in future), Rally points etc.) plus communication

or

  1. The old menu comes back and everything that has an effect on the gameplay is in there, and the new one is only for communications which doesn't affect gameplay

I prefer number 2, though 1 would allow for building the fastest. I doubt it will turn into fortnite support meta with TTKs being as low as they are in BattleBit (and even if, support would get a buff).

The point is, people need to build quickly in a pinch and not having to navigate through nirvada. Seperating it would also do a huge favor for both as I think both systems will be expanded in the future to the point where both won't have the space to function without frustration.

Mouse sensitivity for te menu not being the same as your regular mouse sensitivity is not really enjoyable.

Also i mentionned it in a suggestion, but i also do believe that Flags on the Flag sub-menu should be in alphabetical order rather than following the " current map order ", to improve consistency and prevent having to waste time looking for the flag you want to select.

Not actually as quick as it might seem. I haven't quite got a handle on it yet but I think it's a good improvement and a good addition to the game

GuraPainSip but build menu would be great too tbh. It's just, too many hot keys.

spice comet

There are already 2 hotkeys for Player Interaction Menu. Holding Mousewheel and the one in your keybinds

Also if you have a problem with too many Hotkeys, just buy the Strategic Commander xD

I mostly used the building menu and after bit of getting used to, It does feel good via using numbers to select though having to press m1 to select is kind of annoying for me

numbers is the way to go

Also, when using the radial menu while you have an ammo box in your hands, when you click to give an order or anything, you will throw an ammo box.
Could be fixed

That was also the case with the old menu but yeah.

I'm attempting to adapt to the new menu but I do think it's worse for a few reasons.
1- when buildings are red and cannot be built, the red text is so close in hue to white it is hard to read, especially when in a fight and in panic.
2- is there even a location to view squadpoints? Makes supplying and building very annoying to waste time with the menu when you can't use them.
3- the mouse slowdown is really annoying.
4- you have to move your mouse further from center than the previous menu, (and even further because of the slower mouse speed) makes adjusting back to your gun a bit annoying

I also don't even know how the new ping system works. The new menu has potential but it is too obtuse and non user friendly

i think it would be fine if the mouse and also the selection speed were faster, look at no man's sky's ui, its hold click for just about everything, but you only hold the click for about .75 of a second and it is kinda satisfying. it does not seem like a lot of players even use the build system very much, but it is pretty good as is.

I think one of the biggest QoL improvments is to have the confirmation for the ping be MMB UP instead of having to press MMB again to confirm. So it would be MMB Click > Drag > MMB Let go instead of MMB Click > Drag > MMB Click if that makes sense.

I would like to tap MMB for a normal ping. Then hold for the wheel, sort of like before. Why change this?

I hope there's an option to disable mouse interactions entirely

#

I would much rather be able to look around while using hotkeys to go through the menus

Personally the building options (hesco, etc) have to be similar to BFV instead of being integrated with the commo rose. Have everyone get access to a building options by holding a key.

I would like it to change to mouse- orientation for selection, instead of mouse over, this is pretty standard for most games with this type of menu layout and requires far less mouse movement to select an option, and is far quicker to navigate

icy sierra
#

It needs hotkeys internally. Like pressing O-1-2 and quickly get a sandbag going. Or O-2-1 and have the supply drop ghost ready for placement

mild inlet
#

It does for the numbers, but not for opening the menu

static wave
#

has anyone suggested adding request squad lead and request spawn beacon yet?

pliant creek
#

Request spawn beacon would be cool

static wave
#

also give recon expanded access to the wheel for observe mark and maybe even a general enemy ping aside from the default normal ping

narrow sinew
#

Let recon draw benis on map

static wave
#

oh also let us use the menu while ADS

  • 1 for separate build menu and squad menus. Im fine with the look and feel mostly. the last used on top is a nice feature, but it would work even better with a last used for both squad stuff and building stuff.

Please change it, like the armed bird refreshing on the Basra map. It appears only after the team captures point C, which is usually located on a ship. Typically, the team cannot capture this point until the end of the game. The opposing team's armed bird flies around, destroying our helicopters, and our team cannot take the bird because it does not respawn.

sorry wrong post 🙂

Gotten used to where everything is on the menu and yeah it's a bad menu. Mouse movement is still super annoying and the placements are too far from center.

Is it possible to return the progress made in the beta test?

I really like the “up” button for your most recent selection.

i like that the new menu can be navigated with keyboard numbers

Remove the mouse

#

Make it like you're using an analog stick, it's just faster

#

Left click opens up different menus, right click goes back a menu. Esc or middle mouse will close the menu

Please this, I've asked for the same

Mouse slow, directional fast

3 improvements :

  • if I select a flag which was already selected, the game should not deselect it !!
  • don’t auto select the next flag. This should be done by the SL to promote good SLing.
  • allow us to reload/heal while the map is open
marsh wave

and the quick access button on the top should not save flags and be buildings only

One or the other yes please

PLEASE let the interaction menu be opened while using binoculars, the drone, aiming down sights, etc

#

as a squad lead, I wanna be able to use the recon drone to place observe markers on points of interest
