100% agree, also the damage requirement for some of the big buildings to collapse should be a bit lower too because they'll usually just stay up even if all the walls are missing, giving 0 cover at all
Personally I’d prefer if we could reinforce the building after a wall or something gets damages
Let’s say a wall breaks
You have 15-30 seconds to repair just that wall
Just a small example multiple ways to do it
walls, windows, a small half wall on the roof, they all need to go. its why removing parasites that sit on the 5th floor of larger buildings are so hard to remove.
Give supports the opportunity to use a good chunk of squad points to reinforce a small section of wall in a building i.e. tensa town house walls just fall completely apart with one explosion. Make it so these reinforced walls require more explosive
I dont think this would be a good solution to the original problem though tbh. Not only would it not be enough to prevent a map from basically turning into an open field with no cover, it would also kinda take away from the destruction aspect of the game. I like that building can be destroyed but I really dont like that it leaves the map excruciating to play.
I do like the idea though, just not as a solution to this.
Yeah I just added some ideas that are similar to the topic of buildings in general.
No sense creating another suggestion for just the small idea imo
