#Additional personal vehicle spawns based on player contribution to the match.

At the moment, vehicles aren't being used by the playerbase to their full potential.

The current vehicle spawn system discourages vehicle players from taking calculated risks to support the team. Why? The relatively long respawn times make vehicles a rarity. This means that instead of serving as the team's spearhead, they stay further back to kill farm - which is fine in moderation, but over-emphasized atm.

How do we fix this problem? Well, we have to address the root: the current system rewards timidity instead of teamwork. Players are too afraid to lose their vehicle, because they have to wait a long time before they can play and practice their skills in another one. Vehicle play that supports the team isn't rewarded, but selfish play certainly is.

This leads to another, much bigger, problem. Those players, waiting for the vehicles to respawn, will often sit in the loadout screen for the entire duration of the respawn timer. This means that their team suffers even more; not only do they lose the full influence of their vehicles, but they also lose a significant portion of their team (who could very well be capable infantry players).

Some might suggest decreasing the spawn timers. I don't think it's the right step; the spawn timers are fine and proportionate to the impact of each vehicle. Others might suggest increasing the number of vehicle spawns at each base. Perhaps, but this doesn't address the fact that players still sit idle waiting for vehicles to respawn.

My idea: in addition to the current system, each player can select one vehicle they can personally deploy. Upon completion of a hard infantry objective (10+ killstreak, revive 20 players in one life, assist Y captures, etc.), they can spawn their vehicle. This objective will be randomized for each player, and re-rolled after the vehicle's destruction.

This should give vic players some extra chances/breathing room, and incentivize infantry play in between. Win-win. What are your thoughts?

One last note: Vehicle spawn availability will be limited based on game mode and map. Infantry only modes such as Rush will have it deactivated, Infantry Conquest will only have APCs/Transport vehicles, Invasion/Conquest will have full availability, et cetera. In addition, desert maps won't have the RCB-90 available for spawn, even if it would be funny to do so.

Additional personal vehicle spawns based on player contribution to the match.

I'd prefer if this was based on Squad Points rather than personal "achievement-style" objectives.

I wouldn't have them cost Squad Points, but I'd have them rely on your squad earning points. Capturing stuff, repairing vehicles, etc.

I'm throwing numbers in the air because I am NOT a numbers person, but let's say... you get access to one squad vehicle spawn per 100 squad points.

Maybe ATVs require 100, Humvees require 200, 250 if they have a gun, APCs are 300 and tanks are 500. (Equivalent with choppers, the least armored and weaponized require less, the heavier ones require more).

This wouldn't incentivize the K/D warriors who self-fuel their rampage with vehicles when they die after 30 kills, it would instead incentivize sticking to your squad and earning it some points, rather than solo acts.

Thoughts?

It would become insisted of 1 or 2 vehicle framing kills it would become 3 or 4 and that doesn't sound fun

Either I'm blind and haven't noticed, or I deal with vehicles so much that it doesn't happen in my games, but I've never seen this "vehicle farming kills" aside from helicopters fully crewed with repair eng's and RPGs on the side.

If that's what you meant, I feel like that's an incentive to have more anti-air, as opposed to an argument against more vehicles., but that's just my POV!

a tank farming kills has alot of targets to shoot at and most of the time gets lucky. its never really a problem except for flankers

I think there should just be more options of different combat vehicles.

Cause the main thing why tanks and bmp´s are not the spearhead is because a single Engineer who knows how to aim a tandem can destroy you easily if you overpush.
And I dont think thats a bad thing, as they are now if you stay with the frontline and basically give supportive fire you can still get a ton of kills and stay allive.

The camping is an issue and technically in a game like this propper Air to Groundvehicle options would be the counter, but we dont have propper rockets on choppers (not counting engies on the sides) or jets that could take them out.

I know the devs said "no" to jets, but I think they could help with the "tank sitting on a hill 600m away from anyone else
