New ping system is nice and all but why was quick pinging removed? It was essential intel distribtion.
I propose following: A quick middle mouse button click will quick ping as usual (before the update), however there is a cooldown of 1 or 2 seconds so people who try to 3D ping enemies but fail will not spam quick pings accidentally.
But this is important: Whenever you would 3D ping someone, it always does so (meaning 3D pinging is unaffected by that cooldown).
Why we need Quick pinging: Sometimes you just can't ping places where enemies last peeked, nor can you ping behind which rock or wall an enemy is (Regardless of whether you are dead or alive). When i saw the 3D system announced, I thought it goes without saying that it will be an addition to the previous Quick Ping, not a replacement. And let's be real, locking the old Ping behind a Wheel menu is not realistic as... well I named it Quick ping for a reason - and that is not quick. It's simply a ping you can use in a pinch to tell squadmates where an enemy is or where he is hiding after you had an engage where both survived and are now busy healing behind some cover.
