#Subdue/interrogate takedown

Come on this would be so fun. Does no one else think so?
If it’s to overpowered and annoying, give the person the option to quickly escape being subdued by spamming a button for example, or timing a button click.
Downvotes?! I don’t understand. It’s not like you kill the person, just hold them.
Wakey-wakey, it's not a stealth action, this is fcking 256 players meat grinder simulator with ttk of 0.22 nanoseconds, no one cares about that steath cringe shit
caviera main right here 💀 i mean ordely not striker
I got the idea from the jump scares over local VoIP in Lethal Company. Even if you could only hold someone for up to 5 seconds, the jump-scare over local VoIP is comedy gold. So game modes with one life are more fun with this, which I expect mil-sim mode will have.
I don’t want to down the enemy because then I can’t revive him and he has no reason to stay alive. Ah but you know what, in modes with limited re-spawns the enemy is more likely to not skip the death timer. Hence, an opportunity to interrogate/negotiate.
Cool concept honestly, but this game isn't exactly compatible with it. It'd be fun to screw around with in casual matches more than anything I feel like
When dev time has to go to something like that though, It's bound to fall to the wayside anyways unless it's pretty core mechanically to the game
Yeah. This suggestion led me to a better idea which I put in mil-sim feedback
Thanks for the constructive feedback.
Yw. I'm sure melee systems like it or maybe ways to stun/stagger enemies so they can't attack could do well, especially if the game continues forward with hard and not soft collision
The big issue I can see if that, in general, people move FAST, and stealth features like what you mentioned just end up being very time consuming, and there's so many issues with balancing something along those lines in terms of taking too long, being effective vs shooting opponents, and just being worth doing
Agree. I figure the same strategy could be pulled off if you could revive enemies (limit 1 revive per enemy). This is much simpler
I mean, the big issue is that no player is gonna give away info that harms theit own in the current gamemodes... where they could just respawn and spend 1 ticket. If it were an involuntary kinda thing where "interrogating" enemies pings other nearby structures, enemies, etc, maybe pings their rally point, I think it could possibly work. But even then, it would need a lot of polish
e.g. "interrogating" an enemy in melee for a certain amount of time would ping their rally point then kill them
Don't get me wrong, I like player interaction, but the incentive for enemies to do that in this game in particular (again, current game modes) just isn't there
In game modes with limited tickets, they might be willing to talk because they want to get revived. Mil-sim mode is bound to have more coordinated tactics and information worth giving. The enemy might be lying and detonate a suicide c4 so there’s that
But that's what i'm saying, 99% of players wouldn't ever do anything with it if it's just player interaction, hence the idea of making it involuntary I threw out before
Like it would be neat but it wouldn't be function because of player interaction in pvp not really going further than goofy interactions and yelling dumb stuff at eachother
