#Gladiatorial Voting (the objectively most fair method)

This would be added as an extra step in the voting chain. Once everyone has voted for the map they want, put everyone into a gladiatorial arena. Each map voted for forms a "team". These teams will fight it out until one team is left standing. Whatever team is left is the map that gets voted for.

Some extra rules:

  • Have a time limit. If the time limit runs out then no one's map gets voted. It instead picks from a random map out of all the maps (the random option).
  • Everyone has the same weapons and kit. This is to make it quick to get in and out.
  • People who die fill up the arena seats and their VOIP can be heard (authentic cheering).
  • People who haven't voted also fill up the arena seats.
  • Optionally, allow for tomato throwing from the audience.

Kind of a waste of time for people who just want to play a game. Personally I do not want to have to do an extra step to play a map. I just wanna load into whatever map and not load into a gladiatorial arena. Honestly, this is a good idea for a modded server. Not official.

The gladiator time could be filling the space that voting currently does. The vote screen is basically a bathroom break anyways

Maybe damage falloff range could be cut down to 75% and velocity cut down to 25% in order to make it so that the arena doesn't need to be colossal.

Also, you can't select the gladiator map in voting, it's only for vote fights.
