Medics are popular pick, because they could heal themselves, have powerful weapon and run fast.

Trading their offensive for supportive abilities, in my opinions, will let medic players work in a more supportive role instead of charging to the front.

This might also encourage medics stay at the back and use longer range weapons, including assault rifle and DMRs.

you want only medics to be able to heal and revive people killed with grenades?
or you want a grenade that only medic can use that heals/revives on detonation?

i thought so too, but then they said stay in the back with DMRs and rifles. that's usually out of grenade range

well healers tend to try to survive at all cost so they can heal from the back. So maybe if you play DMRs and ARs you can just deal damage from further away to survive the slaughter at the front, while you after some time can go forwards and toss some healing grenades onto the exhausted masses
