#Players intentionally die

I personally disagree, I sometimes want to switch class or have no ammo any more to keep fighting. In those cases, I intentionally give up even when being revived.
It is because of you that the team loses because you are tired of playing in the class, but you did not finish the previous one. Ammo can be replenished at the stormtrooper, this is not a problem.
I've done this a lot, it doesn't affect the score that much. In fact, when I give up to a new class, I'm doing so for a reason. Typically switching classes, I can pick a class that better fits the situation
The reason I disagree with the suggestion is that it'll be used to troll and grief. If it was hardcore, I wouldn't mind the lack of being able to quickly respawn. But this isn't hardcore, most people just want to run around and kill things
I don't think it'll be used to grief, because even after a while you'll either die, or be revived by someone else from your team
I think a keypoint here is that only friendlies can use it, so enemies don't get an advantage
Still think it doesn't fit in the game, at least in it's current state. It might be good for hardcore, but I feel like you'd just lose the ability to give up which makes the suggestion obsolete. It's more of a run and gun
It wouldn't remove the ability to give up, it's more of a QoL for medics
But then again, maybe it would fit better in hardcore
I think a good middle ground would be stopping bleeding out while being bandaged, so if you wanted to, you could die before getting revived
I just see it being used to troll ngl, you can just sit and keep respawning them if they're in a bad spot, if you can slow them down respawning. I feel like giving over players the ability to control the time you could respawn wouldn't be a welcome change in the current state of the game
Obviously there would be a few bad actors for any mechanic, such as C4, but I like to think people like to win in battlebit
I don't really have an issue with losing unless my team doesn't play the objective. Mostly playing conquest. If you have a team that can't hold an objective, losing 1 ticket in a respawn is the least of your worries. In the other modes, I can't really talk for (except CTF or Frontline which you don't lose tickets)
I don't think the main focus of this addition is the tickets themselves, but rather having people alive to actually take the objectives - Regardless, it is mostly a minor change
I guess, but I still have greater benefit respawning in coming in with a new class or a new angle
Yeah no.
This would easily lead to trolling/intentionally holding people hostage to farm off xp of them. (And just bad revive play in general) If the person reviving is blind and can’t see that your body is being camped by 3 enemies you shouldn’t be forced to sit through. Nevermind the fact that (as mentioned in the case of trolling) all it takes it 2+ bad actors to effectively put you into a death/revive loop that forces you to either sit there, hope you get the kill in time (gl since you’ll be at half health constantly), or leave the server.
A middle ground is, give more graphical emphasis on the "Someone is reviving you" message.
One thing ai've noticed is that your respawn timer starts to tick down when you go down, not on death, starting at 10 seconds the moment you've been "downed". What if the respawn time is increased/reset while being rezzed? encourage you to stick around?
I'm kinda just spitting out the idea there, not really crazy abt it because i could see it being frustrating, but curious what thoughts are on that sort of thing
