i havent seen anyone using dropped medi-box in match ever.
My suggestion is that dropped box will have slow heal are effect just like in battlefield games.
it will allow to heal more players at once at cost of slower healing
edit: healing speed could be affected by number of players (more players healing at same time = slower heal, it wont encourage into camping in huge clumps of players)

ngl, i thought it already did this for the longest time. Once I learned how it actually worked, i didn't see the point in dropping. If I do the healing myself, at least they can stay in the fight

Make it restore bandages. That would be more useful for the medic too

It would make so much sense for oki to make it so you can buy bandages from a medic box rather than an ammo kit from support
AOE would help that. smart medic can come drop it on a hold point for max effect

Theoretically it would act as a damage reduction since you would heal back to being able to survive one more shot then two. Unless you get sniped

the heal speed would need to be pretty tested/tuned to balance out the area.
the existing death timer decay already helps stop infinite respawns, so i think it could work
(if squad spawns in combat get fixed)
and of course you'd still need the medic for revives, limited by bandages.
So maybe not having bandages in med boxes is better in this scenario

aoe heal seems kinda, campy? it'll incentivize just placing a bunch of them in one area

yeah, there would have to be an overlapping AOE prevention, but I don't think that's too hard to code
it should not heal the medic himself or other ppl when they get shot+ ~5sec after
not a horrible idea. they still have to take cover but just don't require medic attention. And medic can still be there to speed things along
yup i thought about box stacking and healing while shot, there should be 100% some cooldown or only 1 box can heal you, but anything close to my suggestion or any in this thread is imo better than what we have now
Solution for the healing when shot. Make it so if you get shot you have to be “out of combat” not in the respawn sense, but in terms of not being hit by bullets for a period of time. This prevents camping on a box continually healing. The heal speed can be the same as if you where holding the f to heal on a current dropped box. You get little bursts of healing instead of a continuous stream. Additionally it should reward some exp to the medic but massively reduced compared to active healing.
Also grenades would trigger the combat timer, so if you can dunk nades on them you can stop the heal.
