#Put SMGs back on Engineer...

I see no reason to take smgs from the engineer. This moved a very versatile anti vehicle class from being competitive with medics, to being close to useless.

We will now see situations where medics with SMGs will continue to run rampant, and vehicles will become more oppressive due to a decline in engineers.

If people worry about balance and engineers being too strong, just nerf infantry damage of the HEAT rpg.

Oki pls fix...

the engineers having anti vehicle is what makes it strong to being with. giving their smgs to the assaults will be better for balance.

Being the "vehicle killer" isn't enough of a niche to make engineers viable in game modes without vehicles. Other classes have c4 which is better at opening walls than an rpg. Games like BF4 give pdws (which included smgs) to the engineer.

Engineers entire identity revolves around vehicles. In game modes without vehicles they should be going to other classes imo. there isn't really a reason to "main" a class since experience is global.

Engineer already has bunch of tools and is much more versatile as you imagine, the RPG is already a big advantage what you want?

the rpg and repair tool are the only advantages it has, the rest of the classes share the rest of the gadgets, it's pointless to remove an entire weapon category for "balance."

I've been using engineer as a medium range "sniper" with the MK200 (0-800m) with a x4 scope and its been working OK, sniping people and using RPG to destroy buildings to remove enemy cover or vehicules

or M200

#

which one

blissful hearth
#

main problem with engineer is that their uniqueness is tied to vehicles and not so much infantry
the rpg is a nice camper destroyer though lmao

MK20 sorry

#

I don't use the engineer with vehicules at all

blissful hearth
#

engineer can't use m200, might be doomed if we gave the engineer another "Sniper rifle"

I tried doing the heli repair stuff for free exp but its boring

#

Hard to find your place supporting vehicules when you can't repair from inside

maybe i'm in the minority about it, just sucks to see the smg removed from the engineer while the medics still roam free

#

guess the pdw's will be glued to my hands now lmao

#

I tend to use engineer with DMR/ARs so I don't really feel the pain

#

sad that engineer does have the most weapon variety before that change

#

I think post buff ACR should fill your SMG void nicely xd

gilded sentinel
#

either that or ill switch to assault (as father oki intended)

blissful hearth
#

if you don't need the rpg yeah I agree

fickle stirrup
#

If you are not play engineer mainly for rpg then i agree

#

if you just want a gun run why just not run assault

fair, P90 and MP7 are still amazing

odd oriole
#

Just remove c4 from medic

gilded sentinel
#

that i can agree with

minor edge
#

It’s a bit of a nerf to the class since, at least in my opinion, strongest build on engineer is a short range gun + heat RPG for any longer range kills you need to make

#

But it’s just less variety of close range guns, P90 fits that build fine

the speedy medics use mp7 cause they can close the gap with their increased speed

#

also I said medics with smgs will run rampant, not just smgs

prisma verge
#

i dont use it because its a shit gun, I already win gun fights at rifle range with mp7/p90

#

vertical recoil means nothing when you can control it
