#ADS FOV and Uniform Soldier Aiming

Yes for the love of god.
I try to make all my senstiivites exactly like BF4 and they don't have FOV scaling ADS for some reason
god please add this
Having a separate ads fov slider would be better than a set ads fov that an ads fov scaling toggle would give you imo. That way you can mimic how it is scaled in different games
I don't think there is ever going to be anything like this. I had suggestion called "ADS FOV SLIDER" and there was 450-500 votes on that and sadly the suggestion got removed.
been wanting customisable ads fov for ages
iirc oki commented on it a while back wanting to add it
Ohh i missed it. Hopefully they add it so my friends would come back to battlebit.
I just have to necropost
This is one huge QOL change that it should be added, played some rounds on different FOVs and the lack of jump of fov while playing on 60 (the same fov as ads) is very enjoyable, sadly it puts you on one huge disadvantage due to limited area you can see on the sides
also as Waa ([*] Waa was a setup) mentioned, Oki commented on it wanting to add it, sadly it isn't here

Do you want to know the difference between the independent or the affected ADS field of view in warzone 2! Independent will give you the default 80 FOV when you ads or aim down sights! Then your hip ADS can be set different! Affected will make your HIP and ADS fov the same!

just copy it from COD, affected and independent settings and it would be fine
for obvious reasons it wouldn't be dropping with current update
but maybe a next, smaller one?
incase the devs or anyone else need some math to reference for the Uniform Soldier Aiming mouse sensitivity (also known as Focal Length Scaling)
to implement this you can calculate the modified zoom sensitivity by using the following formula:
zoomMouseSensitivity = hipMouseSensitivity * (tan(zoomFOV / 2) / tan(hipFOV / 2))
if you still want an additional scope sensitivity slider, you can multiply the output by the slider, for example:
zoomMouseSensitivity = hipMouseSensitivity * (tan(zoomFOV / 2) / tan(hipFOV / 2)) * scope4XSlider
- zoomFOV should be whatever the current/actual vertical FOV the player camera, and should be updated every frame that input is processed to smoothly transitioning between hip and ADS
- hipFOV should always be whatever they have set for their vertical FOV in their graphics settings (which defaults to 90 currently)
We got people now doing the coding for oki
eh, i'm just a gigantic autist when it comes to mouse sensitivity, i've made mods for several other games to add focal length mouse sensitivity scaling
i may or may not have built several physical contraptions for calibrating mouse sensitivity too lmao
I see
But yea, they should add this
I've suggested this, it needs to happen
