Playing as a squad leader, I have difficulty marking flags (objectives). A system that would help would be something similar to the attached image.

Pretty good suggestion! UP!

While you’re at it, make orders more clear, the flag ingame and the tiny ass notification at the bottom are barely noticeable and I rarely notice an order being given

That system was actually already in BBR at one point
I think oki brought it up in a devcast
But if I recall no one used it or people got confused hence why it was removed (you can still find cut files for it if you look hard enough)

If that's the case then the UX was poorly implemented, it's a very standard interface for this kind of thing.

It is often accompanied by voiced lines, which would be an interesting shift for BBR

a commander slot like in bf4/3 would be kinda cool

Imagine if the squad leader could give orders through the map? Wouldn't it be more convenient? Squadleader also can observe current situation while giving orders.
Because the suggested circle menu takes its roots from consoles and controller button limitations.

primary issue: It was silent, it doesn't alert your squad or anyone around you that you've pinged

#

also, we still don't have a way to non-verbally ask for medic/ammo

#

Oki please buy a voice actor or two, there are loads of vtubers just waiting to shout ENEMY VEHICLE SPOTTED!

It would be great to give orders to the squad, without having to aim at the objective.

Apparently it was confusing (I don't see how)

What if squad mates earned a little xp for going to green, and holding for a time at blue ping locations. When SL places a ping, a flywheel lets him specify how many squad mates get xp at that ping. Coordinating team movement with this would be fun because the pings show how many players are wanted at each ping marker. And the xp incentive to obey orders.
