Often a server has few players in the morning, and a good way to hold the player back before he looks for a match in another country would be the possibility of exploring the map with all the resources, but without scoring.

The same thing exists in BF5, where you could look around the map with all weapons and gadgets usable and stuff. At the start of the round everybody got redeployed back to spawn again. You got no score and couldnt cap anything

That or an option to play maps alone like the shooting range. Just pick which map and then enter it.
